  1. I live in Cuasi Loon. Our property is accessed via Ipil Ipil Road listed as barangay road 149. Right of way along this road is being questioned, and I would like to know if you can advise me of where/how I can obtain a map or other document showing the boundries of this road. Thank you.

  2. Hi sir Willy,

The provided shape files are very informative, especially for disaster management. Are these hazard maps inclusive of sink holes already e.g. on ground rupture map?
    Thank you.

    • Hi Michelle,

Thank you for the compliment. Unfortunately, sink holes are not part of the Ground Rupture Map, which only contains fault lines. The MGB does not release such information, as I understand, especially not for public information. Why? It would be best to ask MGB themselves, and while you’re at it, you may also try to ask for some sort of a sink hole map.

There is also an update of the Ground Rupture shapefiles but PHIVOLCS does not allow us to share it, though you might can get it from them. There is also an updated Ground Rupture Map, which we can share. We’ll have it uploaded later. Keep posted.

  3. Dear sir Willy,

Happy holidays. With regard to the updated Bohol hazard maps, may I also request for the updated shapefiles for such? Uploaded shapefiles are of the 2009 maps. Thank you.

    Regards,

    • Hi Michelle,

We regret to inform you that we have a Memorandum of Understanding with PHIVOLCS that the shapefiles should not distributed. However, I think you can acquire them from PHIVOLCS and have your own MOU with them. We would also be clipping those shapefiles to municipal level, at which we can distribute because it’s already modified. As of the moment we have our hands full and we can’t attend to that yet. We’ll upload them when their ready.

  4. Dear Sir Willy,

Specifically located in San Isidro, Dauis Bohol, is there any seaside, beachfront or any environmental law or legal restriction that states or provide safety in the area? Thank you.

    • Normally, there would be a 20 meters setback required, but you might want to refer your query, for better clarity on the regulations, with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), and with the Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator (MPDC) of the Municipality of Dauis. Thank you.
