A selection to the Local Special Bodies (LSBs) of the Provincial Government of Bohol was conducted last September 16, 2022 at the Panda Tea Garden Suites, J.A. Clarin Street, Tagbilaran City. Forty-seven out of the 57 SP-accredited Civil Society Organizations were present and conscientiously elected their organization to the LSB that best fit their advocacy and programs.
Guided by the provisions of DILG MC No. 2022-083 re: “Guidelines on the Accreditation of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Selection of Representatives to the Local Special Bodies (LSBS)”, this annual activity ensures the participation of the private sector in the affairs of local governance.
Under RA 7160, the LSBS for selection are the Provincial Development Council (PDC), Provincial School Board (PSB), Provincial Health Board (PHB) and the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC).
EA Metodio Maraguinot Jr. facilitated the selection process and strategic planning while BANGON President Francis Bernard Batoy was selected as the Presider of the election.
Ms. Ma. Reina Quilas, Ms. Rachel Torremocha and Ms. Richy Pamatoy, all from DILG-Bohol, facilitated the program. Secretariat and administrative support were provided by the personnel of the Development Administration (DevAd) Sector of the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) headed by Mr. Crisologo O. Usaraga with the assistance of Ms. Yvonne Mondaya and Ms. Patz Dalumbar.
