Bohol Development Initiatives for Prosperity Fair 2010
Theme: Sustainable Development Opportunities For Equitable Economic Growth
Purpose
To provide Municipal LGUs with a concrete opportunity to access external resources and leverage LGU funds for external development assistance for local development initiatives that respond to extreme levels of deprivations.
Objectives
- To review and revisit the Poverty Database and Monitoring System (PDMS) results and identify priority poverty areas/sectors;
- To develop and design development projects in support to the overarching development framework of the province;
- To activate and mobilize the Municipal Poverty Reduction Action Team (MPRAT) in the design of projects;
- To prepare presentation materials and display during the actual Fair to market development projects in support to difference levels of deprivation to prospective donors and other funding agencies for development assistance.

This was one of the most productive fairs I have visited.
I wonder if the projects mentioned will come to life.
Thank you for the comments. In average, the gestation period of these project proposals is quite long. However a few of the projects in the past fairs have been funded in amount totaling over 144 million. For the other project proposals especially those in the recent fair, we will continue to find ways in channeling them to appropriate agencies and organizations for funding.
