First PDC ExeCom Meeting Under Governor Aris Aumentado

On September 21, 2022, Governor Aris Aumentado and the members of the Provincial Development Council Executive Committee (PDC ExeCom) gathered for a meeting at the PPDO Conference Room for the (a) PDC approval and endorsement to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of the Proposed Supplemental Investment No. 5 CY 2022 for the Province of Bohol, and (b) presentation of the Proposed 95.2 MW In-Island Baseload Power Plant Project.

Approving Additional Budget for CY 2022. After the presentation of the Proposed Supplemental Investment No. 5 by Provincial Budget Officer Peter Ross M. Retutal, the Council endorsed to the SP a PDC resolution in consideration to the necessity of providing additional support for the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) to be able to meet its remaining targets including major programs and projects for the last quarter of 2022.

Augmentation of the Current Bohol Power Source. Engr. Noel Galinato of the Conal Holdings Corporation (CHC) presented the proposed 95.2 MW In-Island Baseload Power Plant Project. The purpose of the presentation is to seek PDC endorsement to the Sannguniang Panlalawigan for appropriate legislative action.

CHC is developing the In-Island Baseload Power Plant Project in Barangay Imelda, Ubay, Bohol, which has an installed capacity of 95.2 MW.

The 95.2 MW In-Island Baseload Power Plant intends to resolve Bohol’s increasing demand for electricity, particularly due to demographic and economic growth. CHC’s diesel power project is to be located in Barangay Imelda, Ubay and will be connected to the electricity grid through a 138kV transmission line connecting to the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) Ubay Substation.
