Engr. Gabino Redulla presented the Comprehensive Hospital Modernization Program to the Executive Committee of the Provincial Development Council during its February 17th meeting. Presented for the body’s information was the physical development and equipment upgrading of the 10 hospitals of the Province of Bohol. This is a locally initiated project.
The program aims to address the clamor for better health services, to increase the accessibility to the health services province wide, to compliment the program of PhilHealth, and to augment the revenues of the provincial government.
The General Scope of the Program is as follows:
1. Physical development of the hospital infrastructure facilities that includes construction of additional building and repair of the existing structure
2. Upgrading the hospital equipment laboratories and other facilities in the following hospitals operated and managed by the Provincial Government of Bohol:
a. Carlos P. Garcia Memorial Hospital in Pres. C.P.G., Bohol
b. Clarin Community Hospital in Clarin, Bohol
c. Maribojoc Community Hospital in Maribojoc, Bohol
d. Candijay Community Hospital in Candijay, Bohol
e. Francisco Dagohoy Memorial Hospital in Inabanga, Bohol
f. Catigbian District Hospital in Catigbian, Bohol
g. Cong. Natalio P. Castillo Sr. Memorial Hospital in Loon, Bohol
h. Teodoro B. Galagar District Hospital in Jagna, Bohol
i. Cong. Simeon Toribio Memorial Hospital in Carmen, Bohol
j. Garcia Memorial Provincial Hospital in Talibon, Bohol
After the presentation, Atty. Vistal suggested that in order to strengthen the support of the program, the Council should pass a resolution endorsing the said projects to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan for its favorable support.
On motion of Bohol’s 1st District Congressman Rene Relapagos, unanimously seconded by the body, the Provincial Development Council passed PDC ExeCom Resolution No. 05-2013 favorably endorsing to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) the proposed Modernization Program of the Ten (10) Hospitals operated by the Provincial Government of Bohol for support and subsequent endorsement.
