Objectives of the Meeting

To make sure that the programs and projects identified  may link with the strategies, objectives as identified in the goal  are really based on the planning environment  but not indicated  without basis to identify the programs. In the planning environment there is a clear linkage from the planning environment and issues are identified.

If there are some other comments will be sent  later since this is the first time that they have read the plan

  • Forms  –  the introduction is  complete but there are sections based on guidelines, section on location, land area and political subdivision. Political subdivision  discussion not  in the plan
    • The location and land area  is in the geography and political subdivision discussion  are not shown in the plan  but  indicated on page 40 # 1
    • If you follow the guidelines format, it will be in the first portion of the planning environment
  • Map of the province of Bohol in relation to the country is in the figure but not as a map
    • Vicinity map is in the geography of the Land Use
    • Portion of this has been discussed in the physical framework  portion
  • Content
    • There are two (2) visions, sectoral and provincial
    • The Title is  misleading
    • Spatial component should be integrated into the vision
    • Please improve or delete this paragraph so that  it will be directly in the map presentation
    • Vision should have a time frame, it may be long term vision such as 2030
    • Table 2, Population and Settlement, add area on the regional, national context or  provinces within the region
    • Total population and growth
      • In the consolidated, the highly urbanized cities  are not to be highlighted,  just compare the provinces
      • Insert land area in the table
      • As noticed, the decrease on the population growth rate of Bohol for 2005-2007 not highlighted  from highest  population growth rate.
      • Include in terms of population density
      • Population and growth discussion increase from and when and indicate 2000 census
    • Table No. 3  Economy and  Priority Industries
      • For 2003 employment data, do you feel nga kani nga trend maoy proxy indicator
      • Do not  use figure but percent
      • Please check the data

    • Land Use Maps
      • Physical Resources
        • Highlight water resources in the integrated
        • Better there is a map in the connections from the  major water sources
        • In the proposed and existing paragraph, makit-an asa ang unserved and underserved areas, size, location and outputs
        • On the land classification, ok and opportunities map
  • Transportation
    • Review  the arrangement  in the discussion if the external  linkages are highlighted
      • Although there are  characteristics of ports in terms of passengers, there are reduction  of sea passengers –  data to be reviewed
      • Highlight  what are the clear  infra projects
      • Better there is a  proposed and existing  maps  for the  external linkages of roads, ports, airports, friendship bridge and  nautical highways
      • Describe how many roads.  Are  all your component municipalities connected to the provincial roads. Are all major cluster of population connected direct link to Tagbilaran. Are  all feeder roads connected to the municipalities
      • Better link in the map the demographic statistics
      • Arrangement of paragraph
      • Increasing number of vehicles are highlighted but no discussion in traffic management
      • On  Power,  indicate power development map
      • Communication should be in the proposed and existing map
      • Proposed infra projects will be linked to economic
      • Highlight priority industries
      • Identify first the issues and you cannot isolate the discussion
      • The discussion  is not really more  connected in the economic sector and population trend
  • Social Services
    • Not in the map priority areas of health related programs
    • Better there is a proposed map
    • Compare in the national, regional and MDG
      • Put  MDG in the discussion how far you have achieved in the regional MDG and also in Education, a discussion/highlight on MDG
      • Indicate the area the need more schools and related in the population data
      • Use proxy indicator in Housing
      • Available housing units based on 2000 census and projections in 2007 based on historical trends
      • Important to highlight the indicators
      • There is a typographical error in the heading in the consolidated
  • General comments:
    • Better to indicate  the analysis portion  on social infra in order to relate MDG
  • Cultural Environment
    • Discussion in planning environment patas-an to be included in the highlight to relate in the vision
    • Most important in the planning environment that issues should be addressed and cull out the gaps
  • Sec. D. Development Issuses, Problems

  • Goals
    • For the environmental protection and management, define what are the issues
    • Guidelines will be easier if it will be a table form
    • The issues are in the  planning environment
    • Better to lump the general issues and should be in a tabular form
